Here’s a very simple preparation which involves only 5
ingredients. I made it yesterday for the first time. It tastes so
good that I couldn’t wait to share it. Once you’ve experienced how
good it tastes and how quick and easy it is to prepare, I’m sure
that you’ll want to share it with your friends also.
(2 to 4 servings)
1. Melt ¼ cup (½ stick) of butter¹.
(Do steps 2 through 4 while the butter is melting)
2. Add ½ teaspoon of salt to a 1 quart microwavable bowl.
3. Add ¼ cup of instant rice.
4. Add ¾ cup of Swad® Chevdo² (A spicy, crunchy mixture of mostly rice & beans that’s ½ protein).
5. Pour the melted (or partly melted) butter over the other ingredients.
6. Add a 15 oz. can of sweet peas³ (including the liquid).
7. Microwave for 4 minutes.
8. Mix thoroughly.
9. Wait 1 or 2 minutes for the rice to soften.
