Why go through all the trouble of making cheesecake? Here’s a recipe which is at least as good, if not better, and which only requires 2 ingredients and 2 minutes to prepare!
Here’s what you need in order to make 6 servings:
3 blocks of cream cheese. (8 ounces each)
2 cans of cherry pie filling. (21 ounces each)
I get my cherry pie filling at the local Family Dollar for only US$1.75 per can.
One serving:
1. Put 4 ounces (½ of an 8 ounce block) of cream cheese in a small bowl.
2. As a topping, add 7 ounces (⅓ of a 21 ounce can) of cherry pie filling.*
* If you don’t have a Family Dollar™ in your neck-of-the-woods, it may be significantly less expensive to substitute apple pie filling. I found Our Family™ brand of apple pie filling for US$1.69 for a 21 ounce can at my local Econo Foods™ store. My local Walmart™ also carries their Great Value™ brand of apple pie filling for close to the same price, but it is an inferior product. (Not as thick.)
